Participants received points redeemable for a Visa gift card upon completion. ## Findings Survey Findings • n=178 ### Overall, do you feel optimistic or pessimistic about the future of Jewish life in the United States? Optimistic: 46.6% (n≈83) Neutral: 28.1% (n≈50) Pessimistic: 25.3% (n≈45) Total Panel n=178 Orthodox & Chassidish Optimistic 46.6% Sense of security grounded in faith, community expansion, and institutional stability. Neutral 28.1% Balanced outlook with mixed optimism and uncertainty, feeling the tide could turn either direction. Pessimistic 25.3% Focus on visible shifts in public discourse, heightened safety concerns, and anti-semitism. Respondents expressed a wide range of outlooks on the future of Jewish communities in America, with less than half (47%) reporting an optimistic view overall. These perspectives did not vary significantly by political ideology or gender, suggesting that outlooks on Jewish life in America may remain consistent across demographic divides. ## What this means The responses tell a story of a community split between confidence, rising concern, and uncertainty. On one side, optimists describe a sense of security grounded in faith, community expansion, and institutional stability. As one respondent noted, “Bh our communities are growing, organizations opening by the day. Life here is comfortable. People talk about antisemitism , but I really don’t feel it. Everyone was scared of Mamdani, but I don't think \[the\] government holds enough power to really change our lives. There are many checks and balances in place to prevent that.” On the other side, respondents who hold a pessimistic view about the future of Jewish communities in America focus on what they perceive as a visible shift in public discourse and safety. One respondent captured this sentiment directly: “There’s so much blatant anti semitism. It feels like things will continue to worsen.” The neutral category held a mix of optimism and pessimism, characterized by the sentiment that “the tide could turn in either direction.” Optimist Perspective “Bh our communities are growing, organizations opening by the day.
