Use of AI Among a Sample of Orthodox Jewish American Adults (n=200)
Nationally, approximately 40% of U.S. adults (ages 18–64) with internet access report using some form of generative AI, either at home or at work (Real-Time Population Survey, 2025). Usage is higher among younger adults: according to a 2025 Pew Research Center survey, 58% of adults under 30 report having used ChatGPT. Mispar surveyed members of its exclusive research panel to explore how AI adoption among Orthodox Jewish adults compares to the national rate.
Methodology
We conducted an online poll of 200 Chassidish and Orthodox Jewish American adults ages 18-70 and asked a single key question: “Do you use any AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini)?” Response options included, “Yes”, “No”, and “Unsure”.

Overall, 81% of Mispar panelists reported using some type of AI tool — roughly twice the national average. Nearly half of the sample was under age 30, so even accounting for age, usage exceeds expectations. These findings suggest that Orthodox and Chassidish Jewish Americans may be outpacing AI adoption compared to the general U.S. population.
